We set our alarm this morning so we could make it to breakfast before it closed. Our room did not include breakfast, but we went to the buffet. It was very impressive, but it was 30 euro per person. The highlights were the selection of honey (including a honeycomb) and the entire bowl of Nutella, lol!
After breakfast, we went back to the room to grab our coats, winter gear, and umbrella, texted Larry to join us, and headed to the Hop On/Hop Off bus stop. It was cold out, so we bundled up pretty well.
We stayed on for quite a bit, past the second largest synagogue (the biggest is in Amsterdam), and then got off at Heroes' Square. We walked over to the park, and I showed them the different castle-style buildings. We peeked into the cathedral, went past the Museum of Music, and then over to the large city model (and the restrooms) inside the Ethnology Museum. After that, we got back on the Red Bus.
We were talking between the three of us, and the woman across the aisle asked where we were from. It turns out she is a professor at Siena, the college outside Albany where our father attended, and her daughter attends Shaker High School. Definitely a small world.
We got off at stop number 13 and walked back to the hotel through the old streets. We ordered food at The Living Room Restaurant, the bar and restaurant in our hotel lobby.
